• We do not tattoo pregnant/breastfeeding women due to risk of infection. ​

• Please inform us of any medication you take. Blood thinners could possibly be a problem, however we’ve tattooed clients before on these.

​

• Diabetes and certain skin conditions can affect the healing process of your tattoo, so these need to be taken into consideration.

​

• ​We can offer patch tests for certain inks, whereby the artist will tattoo dots of colour in a discreet place, and a photographic itinerary will be taken. The client can then monitor for reactions over the healing period. We charge £20 for all patch tests where required. 

​

• Generally hand, neck, and face tattoos are no-gos at Silver Needles, but enquiries for these will be directed to the most appropriate artist to use their own discretion. They reserve the right to deny any tattoo request.

Before your appointment: 

• It is recommended that prior to your tattoo appointment, you stay out of the sun, use a nourishing moisturiser in the weeks before your session, and keep well rested and hydrated. Avoid heavy drug and alcohol use, especially in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment.

• Non-refundable deposits are required to secure every appointment, and will be discussed with you during the booking process.

​

• Walk-ins are accommodated where we are able, and do not need a deposit.

​

On the day of your appointment:

• Plan to arrive on time, in comfortable, accessible clothing. 

​

• Get a restful night's sleep, stay hydrated, and eat breakfast before you arrive.

​

• Bring snacks and sugary drinks, as well as something to occupy you (ensuring you are able to remain as still as possible throughout).
